Anger Management

Christians are not immune to anger. How well one manages anger has a lot to do with early life history, temperament and thought processes. Here are a few of the helpful resources we recommend to clients at Christian Family Guidance Center.

Several years ago, Dr. Larry Crabb, noted Christian psychologist and author wrote a little booklet titled: How to Deal With Anger. The pamphlet is short and to the point. It is also very biblical in its presentation and quite inexpensive.

If you want to dig deeper, Make Anger Your Ally, by Dr. Niel Clark Warren is a resource that will go into the underlying nature of anger emotions. He also provides some practical tools for managing anger including an "anger diary."

Dr. Joyde Ketterman's book, When you can't say, "I Forgive You" is agreatresource for those who have deep anger over some type of major betrayal or abuse.
